The mobile gaming industry has been booming in India and a number of conferences are lined up for the local game developers to take advantage of these educational as well as marketing platforms for their games on one of the biggest platforms and in front of the biggest names of the industry.

With Reliance Games powered PGConnects coming first on 16-17 April, Casual Connect will follow in the month of 21-22 May. The conference is moving from its original location in Singapore and coming to country as last year a lot of Indian developers showcased their games and won awards and hearts for the same.

Casual Connect Asia 2015 will bring together over 900 top developers, publishers and distributors involved in the gaming industry to create networking opportunities among fellow gaming enthusiasts. Casual Connect Asia is organised by the Casual Games Association. An international trade organisation dedicated to promoting casual games and providing educational resources for the game development community, the association also hosts annual conferences in San Francisco, Kyiv and Europe. The Casual Games Association also awards the Indie Prize, a scholarship programme for up-and-coming gaming development teams that show potential in the gaming industry.

Mech Mocha co-founder Arpita Kapoor, who last year won the Most Prominent Female Indie Award at Casual Connect Europe is exited that the event is coming to India and she says, “Casual Connect will be a place to learn and understand the mobile gaming space better and meet people and get feedback for our game.”

Hashstash founder Kinshuk Sunil says, “Its great to see international conferences/ meet-ups travelling to India in the recent past which is testament to the fact that India is being looked at as a serious market for casual gaming.”

NASSCOM manager and lead gaming forum Shruti Verma added, “The hard work of NASSCOM in initiating a lot of industry gatherings has paid off with Casual Connect shifting to India after a sojourn in Singapore.”
