Gachiakuta Anime

Mumbai, June 7, 2025 – The junk-fuelled, graffiti-splashed world of Gachiakuta is revving up to explode onto screens this July – but not before taking fans across 15 countries on a thrill ride with exclusive premiere screenings. Crunchyroll’s global campaign, dubbed the “Gachiakuta World Takeover,” will give select fans a sneak peek at the first two episodes of the anime before its official worldwide launch on July 6, 2025.

The buzzworthy adaptation of Kei Urana’s gritty manga – brought to life by studio Bones and directed by Fire Force’s Yuki Yase – is getting the red carpet treatment with premiere events at major venues and conventions including Anime Expo (Los Angeles), Japan Expo (Paris), and PVR Icon (Mumbai).

Premiere highlights across the world:

  • Los Angeles (Anime Expo): July 4, 10:00 AM PDT
  • Paris (Japan Expo): July 4, 11:45 AM CEST

Not just a screening – a full-blown takeover
Crunchyroll isn’t stopping at early access. Fans are getting interactive with a virtual Gachiakuta Graffiti Maker, where they can design their own street-style tags, and a behind-the-scenes short, “Behind Gachiakuta,” featuring commentary from creator Kei Urana and art director Hideyoshi Andou on how urban grime and graffiti culture inspired the anime’s electric visual style.

Meet the sound and the squad
The series is soundtracked by high-octane themes: opening track “HUGs” by metalcore sensation Paledusk, and haunting ending theme “TOMOSHIBI” by the enigmatic DUSTCELL. New cast additions include the legendary Toshiyuki Morikawa voicing Regto and Yuuki Shin as the fearsome Jabber.

Catch it before it blows up
With its explosive visuals, grimy world-building, and high-stakes storyline, Gachiakuta is poised to be one of 2025’s most talked-about anime. The full series drops July 6 exclusively on Crunchyroll – but for diehard fans, the first shots
